Combat Speed 4 Deals
The Adidas Combat Speed wrestling shoes have been my favorite wrestling shoes that I have ever owned. I have coached high school wrestling for 11 years, and I spent a large amount of my youth wrestling. I have owned many different types of wrestling shoes. However, the Combat Speed line from Adidas is by far my favorite. Any time that my athletes ask my opinion as to which shoes they should buy, I suggest Combat Speeds. For the price, you can’t find a better deal. They are extremely durable. These shoes feel comfortable, there’s no need to break them in. The Combat Speeds also give wonderful foot and ankle support, while allowing you to keep your footing on the mat. They also come in a variety of colors so that you are sure to find exactly what you are looking for.

Comfort
The first time that I put on a pair of Adidas Combat Speed 4 wrestling shoes, I was hooked. There was never a need to try and break them in as you would with most new shoes. They just conformed to my food and fit as though I didn’t have any shoes on at all. They are very light and responsive. I wear mine every day throughout practice, and often my athletes borrow them to compete in matches or tournaments. I even wear them when I choose to work out in my mat room after practice. Through all of the matches and practices, they still feel as good as they ever have. My feet never feel tired or ache when I’m finished wearing them. The upper part of the shoe is a mesh material that allow your foot to breathe.
Support
The support that comes with these shoes are top-notch. They lace up above the ankle, as is the case with all wrestling shoes. They almost act as a type of ankle brace by giving that added sense of support that you need when you compete on the mat. The bottom of the shoe is light, yet it allows your foot to “grip” the mat so that you never lose your footing.
Durability
These shoes are extremely durable. I’ve conducted practice in them every day, for months on end. My athletes have borrowed these and wrestled competitively in matches and tournaments. I have worn them during personal workouts as well. Combat Speed 4’s hold up very well, aside from the usual scuffs and darkening of the material, as in natural with any wrestling shoes. They have suede and synthetic leather material located where the shoe may contact the mat. This material holds up very well and allows movement across the mat without sacrificing function for style. The bottoms of them hold up very well also. I’ve worn many shoes that have had the bottoms fall completely apart over time. I’ve never owned a pair of Combat Speed 4’s where the bottoms have worn off at all.
Aesthetics
As a kid growing up, the aesthetic nature of this shoe is what initially caught my attention. The overall design of these shoes are really simple. At first it just looks like a basic wrestling shoe, with the Adidas stripes on the sides. Then, however, you see someone compete on the mat while wearing a pair of the Combat Speeds. They just look crisp, clean, and typically Adidas offers enough colorways for this line so that you can have anything that you want. The basic black and white pair look fantastic, and are also the first pair that I owned.
There’s another pair that I consider to be a “base-line” color scheme that’s more black, red, and white which looks classic. Then you can find some color schemes that stand out more. There’s the bright lime green and black, which are the ones that I currently wear. There’s a red, white, and blue color scheme as well. Then, there’s the lime green, yellow, and pink pair. I’ve never owned these, but they will definitely catch the attention of everyone in the gym.
Combat Speed 4 Cost
The cost of the Adidas Combat Speed 4, and the rest of the Combat Speed line, is where this shoe really sets itself apart from the rest. You are getting a top-of-the-line shoe for a mid-level shoe cost. There’s no reason to spend $100+ on a pair of wrestling shoes when you can spend $60 on the best pair of shoes that you have ever owned. Also, once you buy them, you won’t need to buy another pair anytime soon. That is, unless you fall in love with one of the various color schemes that Adidas markets for this shoe. You truly get way more than you pay for once you purchase a pair of these shoes.
