I was wondering what length jump rope should I use, I’m 5’11? Is 8ft going to be enough?
8 ft might be a bit short for your height. On average, a 10 ft rope is ideal for people who are over 6′ tall and 9 ft is recommended for those who are under 6′ tall. You will always want to buy your jump rope just a touch larger than you will need because you can always snip off a little at a time to shorten it up as you build up your speed through training. You could probably use an 8 ft jump rope, no problem, but you won’t really have a lot of room to grow with it.
